VIDEO: This is why Chelsea want to sign Michael Olise | All goals, skills, assists.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for  Crystal Palace star, Michael Olise.

Chelsea had pursued Olise for months before being accused of ‘tapping up’ the youngster in a pursuit that ‘crossed the line’. These accusations and Palace threatening to take them to court saw the Blues end their interest.

Another saga appears to be on and the Blues are reportedly willing to splash the cash on Manchester United-linked star Olise.

Why Chelsea want Olise:

Olise is a left footed attacking midfielder who can play as a number 10, or either side of this position as a left or right-sided attacking midfielder.

Olise has displayed versatility in his positioning and tactical adaptability. He can play in the number 10 position behind the striker and seamlessly operate in wider areas as an inverted winger, cutting inside to unleash his formidable shooting ability, further adding to his goal-scoring threat.

Olise’s exceptional vision is a standout attribute that sets him apart on the soccer field. His ability to see and execute passes that others may miss makes him a valuable playmaker, consistently creating chances for his teammates. His vision enables him to excel at threading through balls, exploiting gaps in the defense, and orchestrating attacking movements.

Dribbling is another area where Olise shines brightly. He possesses remarkable technical skills that allow him to take on defenders confidently. Whether it’s using bursts of pace or displaying impressive changes of direction, Olise can navigate through tight spaces with the ball under control, often leaving opponents bewildered.

Passing is an integral part of Olise’s skill set. His passing range is extensive, enabling him to deliver accurate and precise passes from various positions on the pitch. He is equally adept at long-range deliveries as he is at quick, short passes that keep the ball moving and maintain the team’s fluidity in attack. His proficiency in passing makes him a reliable and influential distributor.

Creativity is a defining trait of Olise’s playstyle. Always looking for inventive ways to break down the opposition’s defense, he brings a sense of flair and unpredictability to his team’s attacking play. His ability to conjure up inventive solutions in tight situations often catches opponents off guard and opens up scoring opportunities for his team.

Olise’s deceleration skills add an extra dimension to his game. He possesses an exceptional touch, allowing him to control his speed and change direction swiftly. This makes it challenging for defenders to predict his next move, providing him with an advantage in one-on-one situations and allowing him to evade markers effectively.

Set pieces are yet another area where Olise showcases his talent. His prowess as a free-kick taker and corner specialist adds a potent weapon to his team’s offensive arsenal. His ability to deliver pinpoint set pieces often leads to goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates, making him a valuable asset during dead-ball situations.

While predominantly an attacking-minded player, Olise has showcased a willingness to contribute defensively. He actively engages in pressing opponents and attempts to regain possession, showcasing a commendable work ethic that complements his offensive prowess.
